Gwynnie Bee Item Review

It’s time for another item review from the Gwynnie Bee Subscription Service! More information about what Gwynnie Bee available in previous reviews but in short, Gwynnie Bee is a monthly subscription service for curvier women sizes 10 to 32.

So far Gwynnie Bee has been very fulfilling for me, I have loved their styles, and the way items have fit. This item did not really thrill me that much, cute it is, but maybe “too cute” or too flouncy perhaps for my frame. The shirt wore me as opposed to me wearing it, and I sort of feel it was a tad too large perhaps.

Item Information:

Lightweight peplum top with V-neck and short flutter sleeves, peplum hem, cutout at back. Shoulder to hem length: 26.5″ (from size 14).

A featherweight, stretchy blend whispers across this stylish Flutter Peplum Top from City Chic. Whether bundled with a cardigan in the fall or as-is in the summer, this modern peplum top is a year-round favorite. It features a V-neckline, short, flutter sleeves, flared hem, and cute cutout at the back.
Special sizing: Runs small. Review the brand’s size chart to find the best fit. Polyester / Elastane from City Chic.
Flutter Peplum Top

It slid off my shoulders some and showed my bra straps and also would come down too low on the chest area but their turn around time on items is quite fast so that is good. In fact, I got a shipment notification early today on an item and as I am writing this very post I got a second notification on the shipment of my third item! This is one thing I love about Gwynnie Bee, unlike other rental services where you get everything at once and must return it all at once, these items sort of trickle in and out! I like that as it keeps a constant flow of excitement and if I want to hang onto one item for a while I can and send the items I am not so thrilled with back! Once I did get two items at a time, and I only had one return bag, so I did send them back at the same time, but then I realized I could have held onto the item I liked and wanted to return it with another item, like this one. Oh well, that was my learning curve.

I do like this item, I just think it is too flouncy for me and I am feeling flouncy enough as it is lately. There are just some items that make curvier girls feel even more curvy, not that I am not happy with my curves, but the sleeves ended right at a part of my arm that is not my most attractive spot on my body.

Anyway, I am loving Gwynnie Bee so far, even if this item didn’t hit the mark for me personally. I think it is cute and will look amazing on someone!
