Nighttime Routine With Luzern Skincare 5 Things Every Woman Should Do For Themselves

Taking good care of my skin is part of my nightly routine.

I moisturize every morning but at night is when I take the time to unwind and take care of myself.

Over the past two weeks, Luzern Skincare has been a part of my nightly routine.

The first thing I check with any skincare line before agreeing to try it out is that it is cruelty-free.

Luzern skincare is a bit more costly than other skincare lines and there is a good reason for that according to their FAQ page:

I have been using four products from their Urban Pollution Protection skincare line.

I spend up to sixteen hours a day in front of my computer and use my cell phone constantly! 

Having a nightly routine is not only something I do to pamper myself but something I consider to be healthy.

There are 5 simple things every woman can and should do to take better care of herself.

A Good Skincare Routine

Every woman should have a good skincare routine she followers regularly.

I have said many times on the blog how important it is for us to take care of our skin.

Our skin is the largest organ we have!

We are exposed to so many damaging effects on a daily basis be that the sun, pollution, or electronics, not to mention office lighting.

At the very least everyone should be cleansing their skin and moisturizing daily.

I personally choose nighttime to do my full regimen and apply moisturizer again in the morning.

At night I am simply more relaxed and have more time to spend on my skin.

I enjoy using a masque and while I am allowing it to sit on my skin for 15 minutes I do my journaling.

This brings me to the second thing I do nightly:

Journaling

Journaling is a wonderful way to spend some healthy quality time with yourself.

You can write about your day, make plans for the future, or write notes to your loved ones.

Sometimes I write out plans for my blog or ideas for blog articles I want to create.

A lot of people avoid journaling because they are not sure what to write about.

Some people are afraid to open up in a journal.

Use your journaling time as you wish, even if that means making a grocery list.

Give yourself time to organize your thoughts on paper.

After journaling, or if I do not feel like journaling I read.

Reading

Sometimes I read fiction but my true love is non-fiction.

I get inspired by reading books in which I learn something.

Historical fiction is another genre I enjoy because it blends both worlds for me.

The truth is, however, most of the time I am reading magazines.

I prefer something I can finish and feel accomplished from in a short period of time.

I spend about a half hour reading each night.

No matter what type of reading material you enjoy treating yourself to enriching your mind, or escaping through reading.

We often praise children for reading and encourage it.

Let us not forget to nurture our own minds.

Reflecting

Some people are into yoga, I enjoy meditation.

Whichever way you reflect, be that simply sitting quietly pondering your day or your life, time to yourself and your thoughts is valuable.

No television, no computer, no distractions, just you alone with your thoughts.

I get my best reflection times while in the shower even more so than when meditating.

For some reason, I have my best ideas in there.

I also come up with solutions to problems while showering.

The warm water causes me to pause and let go of reservations and hesitations.

I become a person who solves problems and has great ideas instead of focusing on negative influences.

Even if those negative influences come from within myself.

Give yourself time to reflect each day, you are worth it!

Sleep

I am sure you all know how valuable a good night’s sleep is!

When we sleep we regenerate cells and our immune system is at work.

Sleep is involved in healing your heart and improving blood vessels.

I used to have terrible problems falling asleep.

Shutting down computers and turning off the television a half hour before attempting sleep are known to help us get a better night sleep.

Be sure you are getting enough sleep for your biorhythms.

Some of us need more sleep than others.

Going back to skincare, I want to say that I am enjoying the Luzern system.

    Proper skin care is certainly a vital part of self care, just like the many other wonderful suggestions you shared. As someone born, raised and still living in a big city, I am especially curious about the Urban Pollution Protection line.

      Oh wow this line would be great for you! I am more rural and love their products but I know there are others who would benefit even more due to it targeting things more often found in the city. Their mask is AMAZING!

    Having a few lady family members, I would recommend these products to them.. They take pride in their skin, mainly because they’re outside a lot. Replenishing your skin after being outside is important for the long term. I would definitely recommend Luzern skin care to them!

    Cruel free is a must. Enjoying sometime to yourself is always a plus and a must. Maybe not every night, but two or three times a week would be perfect.

    I love having a night time routine because it makes me feel well rested and I sleep better at night too! Skin care is definitely a huge part of that! I’ve never tried these products before but they sound amazing!

    I spend so much time on my phone, but never considered how much damage it was doing to my skin. I need to look into Luzern to help my skin stay clean and, hopefully, prevent some of the damage I’m doing.

    I have read some good reviews about Luzern skin care line, however, I have not had the chance to try any of them yet. I think your list of what women need to do for themselves is just about right. We do need time for ourselves!

      Indeed we sure do. There are other things women can do to pamper themselves not on my list I am sure. I took time last night to do my nails which I rarely ever do. That was nice.
