It’s an on going struggle making fashion fit. Finding clothing that looks as good on as it does on the rack can be frustrating. This is especially troublesome if you are a petite woman like myself, or if you are a curvy woman, also like me, and yes you can be both petite and curvy. If you are a taller woman good luck finding fashion that fits too. Let’s face it, women’s bodies are not cookie cutter shapes or sizes! So what if you could have your clothing made to fit your every measurement? You can! At eShakti their motto is “We Design, You Customize” and ladies, let me show you how wonderful this is!
I have always loved maxi dresses, but being only five foot three means maxi dresses do not love me. They are always too long, way too long, they always seem to engulf me, so the dress wears me instead of me wearing the dress. This best seller on eShakti, the Mixed Media Sash Tie Empire Maxi Dress was customized to my specific measurements, and design choices and it is the best fitting dress in my closet.
Oh and before I forget to tell you, all eShakti dresses come predesigned with pockets! Yes pockets! Okay maybe that does not excite you as much as it does me, but I love a dress with pockets. If you do not care for pockets in your dresses, do not worry, you can click one box and have the pockets removed.
Each dress on eShakti has customization options but the most important feature of eShakti is that you have a size profile where you put in all of your measurements. I am not talking basic measurements such as chest, waist, and hips. eShakti’s size profile goes into the finest details such as upper arm width, calf width, thigh circumference, and so on. They also have guides to help you know how to properly measure yourself. It is easy to reference as you take your own measurements or have a friend do it for you.
When I was allowed to select my sample this was not the first dress that I would have opted for, but something kept calling to me to give it a try. I really was concerned that the dress would be too much for me but I decided to go for it in the name of fashion, and to challenge just how awesome (or not) eShakti’s customizable fashion could be.
This is the most fun, playful dress I own, and the best fitting! I have had dresses customized by eShakti in the past, but after losing some weight they no longer fit me as well as this one does. Of course that is an issue with all of my clothing, customized or not.
There is a fee for customized sizes but it is less than you would pay a seamstress to do a simple hem! Only $9.95 per item, however if you use this special link you can get free customization if you are a new customer!
One thing I admire about eShakti is that they abide by, and surpass fair labor laws:
“eShakti upholds the labor laws of India in letter and spirit. We have a minimum age requirement of 18 and exceed the minimum wage amount by 70%. We comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to benefits.”
That means a lot to me! I never want someone else suffering just because I want to look pretty.
Having a customized dress made by eShakti is a simple 3 step process.
1. Find a base design you love.
2. Put in your measurements.
3. Select your design options, want a higher hemline? A lower neckline? Different sleeves? No problem.
Your customized item will arrived between 10 and 14 days.

Is it expensive? Well remember unless you are a new customer and use the free customization link for first time orders, you will pay the $9.95 customization fee, which again is less than I have paid local seamstresses. This dress for example is $72.95 on eShakti as a best selling item.
Granted what is expensive to one person may be highly affordable to others but I for one would rather have 5 custom fitted dresses in my closet over 50 that fit just okay.
You can also check out the eShakti 40% off section too which is loaded with items to choose from.
eShakti has all types of styles from bohemian, retro, vintage, wrap, wedding, bridesmaids, business, party, and more.
If you have ever said that you would love to wear a certain style but you knew it would not work for you, go to eShakti and select that style, have it customized, and you will be amazed! I never thought I could wear a maxi dress like this and just look at it. I feel absolutely amazing in this dress!
Want this dress I am wearing? I would not blame you if you did! Go get it before it sells out!
I also want to thank my beautiful mother Tammy for taking these fun photos. I had a great day with her out and about to do so.
