Indian Healing Clay Review – A Spa Treatment At Home

Have any of you tried a clay mask before? I am sure many of you have, but I have not tried one in years actually.

Using a clay mask is like having a spa treatment at home, except at home I can watch a movie while it sits on my face, or while I have a foot soak in it.

After I used the clay on my face I had my husband feel my skin and it said “it feels rubbery” to which I was pleased, in fact, the elasticity in my skin had increased after just one use! That “rubbery” feel is what any “older” woman would love to have back! Needless to say, I did not point out to him that he had become used to my saggy lifeless skin. I wonder if it works on boobs!? Don’t think for a moment I won’t try this – I am going to! So you mix 1 part clay with 3 parts water. It did not say exactly how to measure so I did 2 teaspoons clay and 6 teaspoons water. It was way too much. I could have done three facials with that, or one facial and my boobs. Suffice to say, I would go with one or even a half teaspoon clay to three or one and a half teaspoons of water, unless you plan to do your chest area too. Just note that a little goes a very long way, and with that said, this is a great deal ladies because you get a ton of the clay powder in the tub, and it is not expensive at all, currently 12.95 with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

So here are some photos of my experience:

Also, note that there is an expiration date on the tub. I like this – I like knowing how long a product is good for, especially when it is a natural product. I also like that this tub will last me five years! I imagine it won’t take me that long to use it but there is a lot of powder in here so maybe it will because it takes so little for a treatment.

You can really feel the mask doing work on your face and it does tighten, as all masks do, but I am sure I could feel the blood coming up to my face slightly and it felt good like it was really doing something. The clay settled into every single wrinkle, crack, and pore to pull out the toxins. The end result is a fresh-looking face that felt firm, springy and refreshed.

My daughter saw me before I removed the mask and had that funny look on her face, but even better, as I was in our smaller bathroom, which is inside our bedroom, I heard my husband coming in. So I decided to peek out from outside the bath to startle him as he had no idea I had a mask on. The funny thing is when he saw me before he really saw me, and the mash, he said “boo” to try to scare me! Lo and behold it was he who was startled and we both got quite a good laugh out of that. I told him it serves him right.I think we ladies really need to pamper ourselves more often. I get so busy that I get off my schedule at times, and skip or skimp on my beauty routine. Sometimes I sacrifice taking care of my nails, sometimes, if I am not reviewing a specific product over a 30 day period, I skimp on my facial routine. Other times I skimp on taking care of my feet, or hair. It always seems to be something that I am slacking on. I just feel we need to do little things for ourselves to feel good, to feel taken care of. I for one have never been the type of lady to go to the salon on a regular basis, even for hair styling, let alone manicures, or spa treatments. Doing this for ourselves at home is just one little way we can take better care of ourselves.

I am going to prepare myself a nice foot soak with the clay, kick back with a great book or movie, and a glass of wine, and pretend I am on an Island somewhere.

Check out Indian Healing Clay for yourself if you are so inclined to do the same.
