Hydrofeet Therapeutic Insole Review

Hello Lovlies!
When I was approached by Hydrofeet  to do a review of their therapeutic insoles, I will admit right up front, I was not super excited. My daughter suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Type 1 Diabetes so we have done our go arounds with insoles, shoe inserts, lifts, orthopedics, braces, and so on. This was not an area I was super excited to delve back into since she had neurosurgery and no longer needs to wear so many gismos and gadgets. Yet, as a Type 1 Diabetic myself, who often suffers from foot pain and issues, and knowing that as my daughter starts working more hours, she may need extra support, I decided to give them a try. I didn't want to poo poo the idea that today's technology could come up with something new and innovative, something better than I had tried before.

In fact, and this is full disclosure here, the brand does not even know this, I waffled back and forth for a bit about allowing them to send me some. While not directly fashion or beauty related, and due to not being fully excited to do a review on insoles, I hesitated. Thankfully the company was persistent, because I realized something, this may be a fashion blog, but if we don't feel good in our fashions, and if we are not comfortable, what is the point? Also, this is a blog for women over forty, and we all need a little help now and then being comfortable, in our own shoes, no pun intended!

So I received my insoles from Hydofeet, having a good basis of comparison from previous inserts, both experienced by myself and my daughter. I have to say, these inserts are spectacular!

Hydrofeet Insoles on Fashion Beyond Forty Review

The first thing I noticed was that the company itself even says they will feel "weird" and they do! They feel sort of like walking on a water bed, and they even say it will feel like walking on water. It takes a few hours to get used to the movement under the feet, and it feels like a gentle massage with every step. Now some of you have super sensitive feet, and I totally understand that. My daughter's feet are so super sensitive that doing anything from massaging her feet, to helping her put on socks sends her into a tickle frenzy, and not the good kind of tickle! So I asked my daughter to try them out and she says that they do not bother her feet at all, in fact they feel good! Also, keeping in mind she has Cerebal Palsy and has had 7 surgeries on her feet, ankles, calves, and also a neurosurgery, she said that the inserts put the support where she needs it. On one foot, the support goes more to her arches, whereas on the other foot, the support goes more toward the ball of her foot.

When you first take them out of the wrapper you may think exactly what I did, that there is not much to them, they are fairly flat, and you can barely feel the places where the glycerin is inserted. However, once you get them into your shoes, you are going to feel a huge difference!

Here is some information from the company - Hydrofeet:

The Secret to Walking on Water

Wearing Hydrofeet Insoles "Feels Like Walking On Water"- How?!

Hydrofeet Insoles are precisely filled with a vegetable based, pharmaceutical grade, FDA approved glycerin. This Premium Dynamic Fluid Orthotic supports the arch, while providing cushioning, massage, and a variable, ever-changing surface for standing, walking, and light impact sports.

What Conditions Can HydroFeet Help?

- Sore Tired Feet, Poor Circulation, Corns and Calluses
- Back Pain, Heel Pain, Knee Pain
- Plantar Fasciitis, Peripheral Neuropathy, Morton's Neuroma

Main Benefits and Features

Arch Support- Hydrofeet Insoles are Dynamic Fluid Orthotics. They can be used with most custom orthotics to absorb the impact while providing better stability.
Cushioning- When the pressure inside the insole has equalized, the foot is floated off the shoe, creating cushioning and shock absorption. This cushioning support changes to anticipate the next impact changing from heel to the ball of your feet, softening the blow the next time your foot hits the ground.
Massage- Alternating heel to toe pressure forces the liquid back and forth, providing a soothing massage, substantially increasing blood circulation to the feet.
Cleaning and Safety- Our water soluble formula won't damage your shoes or clothing if broken, and is safe for children and pets. Inserts may be hand or machine washed. AIR DRY ONLY

Another thing that is really cool is that these can be cut to use in flip flops by snipping the space between the toe, or you can insert them into heels ladies! Yes they work in heels! I put them in a pair of boots that I own that have no support whatsoever. These boots are my only pair of tall black boots and I wear them all of the time yet every time I take them off I am relieved. With the insoles I get home and keep them on!

I confess, I have also put the insoles into my slippers!

I do want to get more of them and get some for my family as well. They are a really great product.

Get them on Amazon!
