Green tea as a rule is very good for your skin, and provides wonderful antioxidants for your health, and while I do already have nothing short of a mass accumulation of Matcha green tea powder in my tea stash, I have to say, KissMe puts out a stunning quality Matcha!

So just how does one go about preparing Matcha? Well there are a few tools you would need, except you really don't need them, but they are nice to have if you decide you want to continue sipping Matcha on a daily basis. My short video will show you a few of the items you could have such as a Matcha whisk (Chasen) and a Matcha preparation bowl, but many people get by fine without these items. I also have a Matcha spoon (not shown in video) which gives you the perfect serving of Matcha powder, but you can eyeball this basically by scooping out about the size of an almond. If you do not have these tools, you can also use a shaker, such as one many use for smoothies.

You do want to be sure not to use boiling water however, your water temp should be right at or as close to 175 degrees as possible as not to burn the delicate leaf powder, thus resulting in a bitter tasting tea. This is one of the biggest mistakes inexperienced tea drinkers make. Tea need never be bitter if the correct temperature is used for the leaf type involved. For Organic Matcha Green Tea or any green tea for that matter, the perfect water temp is 175 degrees.
If you let the blended tea sit just a bit you will notice the foam develops a little more but the true magic of the foam is in the whisking, and I do like my foam, but foam is not truly a necessity to get the health benefits from the tea itself. I didn't even truly achieve the foam I would have liked to in my video, but you can see in the photos (above) that after letting it sit a moment, the foam built up more.
