Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha Review

Many of you may know that I used to review tea, and that I am an avid tea lover. I swore I was not going to do any tea reviews because I want to focus on what this blog is about, fashion and beauty. However when I was approached by KissMe to review their Ceremonial Grade Matcha I could not refuse. By doing this review I get a chance to let my readers know just how good Matcha can be for you, and help keep you looking young, and better yet, feeling young and healthy!

Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha Review Fashion Beyond Forty
KissMe Organic Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Matcha

Green tea as a rule is very good for your skin, and provides wonderful antioxidants for your health, and while I do already have nothing short of a mass accumulation of Matcha green tea powder in my tea stash, I have to say, KissMe puts out a stunning quality Matcha!

Some people love the flavor of Matcha, I am one of those people, while others can't seem to get past it's earthy, or even grassy flavor. If you are one of those people please try it in a smoothie and you will still benefit from the health benefits of the Matcha, but I have to say there is nothing too grassy or earthy tasting about this Organic Matcha! In fact is is sweet and creamy and delicious!

KissMe's Organic Matcha is smooth, creamy, and heavy in the mouthfeel which I love, and I find it to be one of the cleanest tasting Matcha that I have ever encountered, and I have sipped a lot of Matcha over the years. I truly do think KissMe has worked hard to source a quality product here and I think they prove that in the information provided below:

New!! ORGANIC MATCHA - CEREMONIAL GRADE
EXPERIENCE THE HIGHEST GRADE AND QUALITY OF MATCHA, DIRECTLY FROM JAPAN

NOTE: Although this tea is ideally taken with just water, we have take the time to create a recipe guide that includes other ways to enjoy. But this type of Matcha itself is strictly for drinking because of its sweeter, and smoother taste.
There are so many Matcha powder in the market today. What makes ours different? Let's consider these facts:
* RECOGNIZED BY THE UNITED NATIONS: Our Matcha is grown in the top tea-producing Shizuoka region of Japan which is recognized by the United Nations as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System

* OVER 100 YEARS OF ORGANIC FARMING EXPERIENCE: Our certified organic family-owned Japanese tea farm has been operating since 1915, run by the same family for over 3 generations.

* UP TO 137x THE ANTIOXIDANTS OF BREWED GREEN TEA: Matcha is a fine powdered form of shade grown green tea leaves. This means you consume the entire leaf providing your body and mind with a maximum concentration of Polyphenols and EGCG.

* 100% FIRST HARVEST TEA LEAVES, known as Sae Midori cultivar

MILD STEADY ENERGY
It acts both as a stimulant and a relaxant. This is ideal for focusing on whatever the day throws your way.
METABOLISM BOOST
Consuming matcha green tea can increase thermogenesis (the body's own rate of burning calories) from a normal 8%-10% of daily energy expenditure, to between 35% and 43% of daily energy expenditure.
IMPROVED SKIN HEALTH
Scientists have discovered that Matcha Green Tea helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays, while improving blood flow and oxygen levels lifting the overall quality of the skin.
UP TO 137x THE ANTIOXIDANTS OF BREWED GREEN TEA
Antioxidants are essential as you age to boost your body's natural defenses against oxidation. Researchers have found that a high level of dietary antioxidants can prevent many age-related diseases.

So just how does one go about preparing Matcha? Well there are a few tools you would need, except you really don't need them, but they are nice to have if you decide you want to continue sipping Matcha on a daily basis. My short video will show you a few of the items you could have such as a Matcha whisk (Chasen) and a Matcha preparation bowl, but many people get by fine without these items. I also have a Matcha spoon (not shown in video) which gives you the perfect serving of Matcha powder, but you can eyeball this basically by scooping out about the size of an almond. If you do not have these tools, you can also use a shaker, such as one many use for smoothies.

Here is my short preparation video:

Preparing Matcha Green Tea for me is an experience unto itself, and I enjoy taking the time, using my preparation tools, but you really do not need all of this to make a good Matcha. You can also see from the video that you need not spend a great deal of time in a tea ceremony, as I whisked this up in a matter of seconds. Also a lot of people just use a shaker system and get excellent results.

You do want to be sure not to use boiling water however, your water temp should be right at or as close to 175 degrees as possible as not to burn the delicate leaf powder, thus resulting in a bitter tasting tea. This is one of the biggest mistakes inexperienced tea drinkers make. Tea need never be bitter if the correct temperature is used for the leaf type involved. For Organic Matcha Green Tea or any green tea for that matter, the perfect water temp is 175 degrees.

If you let the blended tea sit just a bit you will notice the foam develops a little more but the true magic of the foam is in the whisking, and I do like my foam, but foam is not truly a necessity to get the health benefits from the tea itself. I didn't even truly achieve the foam I would have liked to in my video, but you can see in the photos  (above) that after letting it sit a moment, the foam built up more.

You can also cook with the Culinary version of Matcha green tea, and the culinary version is also offered if you prefer.

Whichever version you choose, your Matcha powder will come with an Ebook full of information, advice, and recipes in which you can create your culinary delights. As for me, I will stick to sipping it!

There are a lot of options when it comes to Matcha but a few of the reasons I will be choosing KissMe Organic Matcha in the future are:

1. Organic

2. Thick, Creamy, mouthfeel.
3. Clean, fresh, tasting.
4. Produced in the Shizuoka region of Japan.
5. Sweetness, I find this matcha from KissMe to be slightly sweeter than other matcha I have tried. This is a truly natural sweetness however, no sweeteners are added!
6. Family Owned and Operated.

Don't be intimidated by this lovely health beneficial and beauty preserving product! Consider it like any other new health and beauty product you may want to try and just go for it!

I am always here if you have questions and need help with preparing, or information about how to get that foam mastered!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
