Happiness Is ... A Big Puffy Coat

Last winter, actually at the very end of winter, I finally found the coat I was looking for. Let me go back a little. Last Christmas my husband bought me a puffy white coat, which was an item on my wish list. He bought it online and of course he did not notice that the site he was buying from was imported from China. So while the coat itself was lovely, I really did like it a lot, it was tiny on me. It was a large, but large in Asian Countries is more like a small in the USA. Anyway, we sent it back. So the hunt was on for the perfect puffy white coat, at a good price, because the coat he bought me was a great deal!

After much searching, one day, I happened upon the perfect puffy white coat at JC Penny. I have always loved JC Penny, and was not surprised they had exactly what I was looking for, even if at the time I was not specifically looking for it! We had went to Penny's for something else but there it was, big, puffy, white, and had the faux fur I wanted on the hood!

A little side note - JC Penny was founded in 1902 by James Cash Penny - hence the name JC Penny or Penny's for short. I think James Cash Penny has made his share of cash by now.

Sorry about the aside, but today I finally got to wear my Ana (brand) Coat ...

Isn't it almost ridiculous!? But I love it! I know it looks very sunny out, and it was, but in Kansas it can be sunny and freezing at the same time.

I realize I should have had my husband snap some more photos of me, and the coat, while we were out and about and I was wearing it, but writing about it, and the happiness factor came in when I got home and was taking it off. Still the fact remains that today for me, happiness is having a warm puffy coat for winter.

Please go through your coat closet and donate any coats you will not be wearing. There are usually many places locally you can donate to and if you are not sure where you can always check at Donate a Coat by putting in your zip code to find a local donation spot.
