My work computer had some major issues on me this past week. No matter what I did I could not get my E and 3 keys to stop sticking. It got so bad that my productivity ceased to exist. In a panic I pulled out my backup lap top which was completely new in the box. Thank goodness I had the foresight to get back up computer when I was able to afford one! With that said I have been scrambling for the last few days to send files from my old computer to my new one, which I am still working on actually. In the process I came across some emails from my mother, who had sent me over a year ago some photos of our family from “back in the day”.
This gem is my grandfather, grandmother, uncle, and aunt, my grandmother’s twin sister (in order from left to right). Aren’t they gorgeous!?
I love looking at old photos, you know back when people looked classy and proper for any occasion! My family was not wealthy, not whatsoever, but they always managed to look so nice when they went out, which I am sure was not often! This photo captures a rare occasion for the four of them.
This photo was taken of them at a place called Vinewood Dance Club back in 1945 or thereabouts. My grandmother is the only remaining of the four of them and I would love to ask her about this photo but I doubt she would recall anything of it. It is interesting to wonder what they were drinking, my grandfather and grandmother probably soda pop or sodi pop as my grandfather would call it.
I love the fashions back then too. Aren’t my grandmother and aunt so cute in their matching dress suits!
So today, for me, Happiness Is … vintage photos of my family.
