Sockwork is a monthly subscription service for socks, and not just your average everyday socks, but fun socks, and more than that, they are socks with a purpose! Sockworks says that they wanted to start something that had meaning, so they donate ten percent of all profits to Veterans.
From the Sockworks Website:
Purpose: Sockwork was started to give back to our Veteran’s and help provide you with great socks in the process! We are Veteran owned and operated. Our goal is to pioneer a new model of Veteran started companies with the purpose of giving back to our brothers and sisters while running a business. We do not think the non-profit model is sustainable for all non-profits and we want to provide a constant source of funding to 501c(3) groups with the mission of supporting, empowering, and caring for Veterans. Each month Sockwork will sponsor a separate Veteran non-profit and donate 10% of all profits to the group. We think our model will be successful and allow us to support your sock needs while supporting our Veterans!
When you join Sockwork you will first decide if you want a men’s or women’s sock subscription. Then you will decide upon a theme and frequency, which consist of fun, professional, or a mix of the two. You will receive two pair of socks each month. Then finally you decide if you want to pay month by month, every three months, six months, or yearly. Like any subscription box you get a discount for paying in advance, the longer you subscribe and pay up front for the more of a discount you get.
If you are concerned about the quality of your socks or where they are made check out what Sockwork says about their socks:
All of our sock subscription socks are designed in California and sourced from the premium quality brand, Richer-Poorer. Most socks are made up of 68% combed cotton, 16% polyester, 13% nylon, and 3% spandex and will fit a women’s size of 5-10 and men’s size of 6-12. Richer Poorer socks will be exclusively provided in each sock of the month box.
My husband has been wearing white athletic socks since forever. He dresses well, and has become even more interested in fashion in the past year. However, his sock collection has stayed rather bland. Finally I got him to begin trying different socks and he loves them. Sockwork was a natural progression for him and he go this first shipment this month! My son came home and saw his opened box of socks sitting on the table and loved them too so now he will also be getting a monthly Sockworks subscription!
Here is a look at what my husband got in his first shipment:
